Once you have passed the first two parts and have completed the appropriate extra training you can apply for a DSA Approved Trainee Licence to help you gain experience in instructing pupils to drive. The Trainee Licence lasts for six months and normally only one is granted in the two year qualifying period. It is not essential to have one but it is an option that is available to assist in preparing people for the third part of the examination

At Countywide if it seems appropriate and beneficial that you apply for a DSA Approved Trainee Licence you will be encouraged to do so.
